I visited the dph subreddit earlier only for the sake of finding hat man sightings and i found out that most people attribute this hat man name to an entity that doesn't even wear a hat, nor a coat or cane. The hat man won't put himself in a dumb position where people make memes out of him. This entity has pride. The hatman, sometimes called the hat man or the darkman, is a fictitious and dark character commonly associated with visions seen during sleep paralysis, schizophrenic hallucinations or by dph and deliriant abusers.
